What bulb do I need for this ceiling light?

This fitting uses an E27 Edison Screw base — the most common bulb type in the UK. It works with LED, filament, vintage Edison, incandescent, and CFL bulbs up to a maximum of 60W. For the warmest, most energy-efficient glow that complements the copper or brass finish, an E27 warm white LED filament bulb (2700K) is highly recommended.

Is this ceiling light suitable for low ceilings?

Yes — this flush mount design sits close to the ceiling with a plate measuring just 10.8cm x 4cm, making it ideal for rooms with standard or low ceilings under 8ft (2.4m). Unlike pendant or semi-flush lights, it does not hang down, making it suitable for smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchens, or bedrooms.

Can I use this ceiling light with a dimmer switch?

Yes, but only when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible LED-rated dimmer switch, both sold separately. The fixture is compatible with dimmable bulbs, but performance depends on using a dimmer designed for LED lighting.

Is this ceiling light easy to install — do I need an electrician?

The light comes with a complete assembly kit including ceiling plate, lamp base, light holder, and shade. However, as it is a hardwired ceiling fitting, installation to mains wiring in the UK must be carried out by a qualified electrician under Part electrical regulations.

What rooms and interior styles does this ceiling light suit?

This light is ideal for dining rooms, living rooms, kitchens, hallways, home offices, bars, cafés, and restaurants. Its modern industrial copper or brass finish pairs well with exposed brick, and Scandi or vintage-inspired interiors.
