It comes with a reducer plate included in the box, which allows it to slide over your existing bulb holder and secure in place without any wiring or tools required. No wiring is needed; you simply attach it to your existing ceiling pendant fitting in minutes for an instant upgrade. If your pendant uses a B22 bayonet fitting, you will need a separate E27 to B22 adaptor, which is widely available.

What is the best bulb to use with a wire cage lampshade?

Because the cage design leaves the bulb fully exposed, the shape and style of the bulb become part of the look. A filament-style Edison E27 bulb — either ST64 teardrop or G95 globe shape — is the most popular choice as it enhances the vintage industrial aesthetic beautifully. Metal shades like this one direct light downward, so a warm white bulb (2200K–2700K) works best for creating a cosy, ambient glow. Maximum wattage is 60W. Note that the bulb is not included, so you can choose the shape and brightness that suits your room best.
