Attractive but slightly flawed

I purchased two of these for my home office which was looking a little tired. The lights are very attractive and are more of a charred/burned softwood than a dark hardwood. The rope unfortunately is not a consistent length on both lights so I had to improvise and lift the bit that hangs down with a hidden piece of wire. Unfortunately, that just makes the upper loop of rope slightly larger on one light but it's not really noticeable. There is a blob of silicon under the rope to hold it in position where it passes through the wooden backing but it's been slapped on roughly and on one there is hardly anything there so there are some quality control issues if youre buying more than one. The other real issue is with the depth of the back which is presumably to allow a connection block to be hidden. This was very fiddly as the depth is barely adequate. On one light I again had to improvise as I couldn't get the light block to sit flush against the wall. Lastly, the brackets are a bit fiddly to fit and the bolts that eventually secure the lights to the bracket are too short in my opinion by about 3mm (and yes I did fit them the correct albeit counterintuitive way around!). Now they're up they look great and really do make a nice feature even with all the fiddling!!
