Transformers

1. Which transformer is used in LED bulb?

Usually, the primary coil has more windings than the secondary coil. This ensures that the secondary coil has a lower voltage. The two most common LED transformers are magnetic transformers and electronic transformers.

2. Why use a transformer for lights?

Light fixtures in a low voltage landscape lighting system typically only use 12 volts. A landscape lighting transformer will convert the 120 volts into 12 volts, both drastically reducing electricity waste and preventing damage to the individual light fixtures or the system itself.

7. Which watt LED bulb is best for home?

Most LED light bulbs are between 5 and 8 watts, so a good range for home use would be between 40 and 80 watts. This means the wattage of light bulbs in a living room should be around 7 watts. If use in downlight, as they are designed to consume less power than other bulbs. As such, a 3 watt bulb is sufficient.
