Sturdy electrical wire in a tuxedo

This twisted cloth covered wire is a 2-core (no ground) wire in the standard blue/brown configuration. The blue and brown wires are nested inside a white mantel. This mantel is not a separate tube, it looks like it is molded around the two cores. This makes for a very firm and strong cable.

I am sure that most light fixtures will be heavy enough to straighten out the wire in no time, but if you want to use this for a bare socket, it may need some manual coaching to become straight.

This is a nicely insulated, good looking electrical wire, 18AWG should be more than enough for most household workloads, and I don't foresee any problem with this wire in the long run.

This braided wire looks great. It works just as well too. Perfect for classing up a basic lamp.
